Over the weekend Tororo’s Deputy RDC Amula Albert emerged a winner of Category C in the Tanna Memorial Golf Open Tournament held at Tororo golf club.
Amula Albert who is a member of Jinja Golf club notched a net of 70 beating off competition from golfers in his category.
The tournament drew golfers from various clubs in kenya namely Eldoret, Kitale, Kakamega golf clubs in kenya and Ugandan golf clubs namely Tororo, Jinja, Mbale, Namulonge, Entebbe, Toro, Arua, lira and Kinyara golf clubs.
Hon Shyam Tanna committed to advance his manifesto by supporting sports development and golf is one of them.
The Minister of Trade and Industry Hon Minister Sanjay Tanna and Tanna family who are the main sponsors of the tournament that is held in memory of Businessman Gokaldas Tanna committed to sponsor the tournament every year.
The Minister further urged golfers to also embrace government programs so as to achieve the government’s 10 fold growth strategy of economic development
