The ceremony also saw the graduation of three PhD candidates, a testament to the University’s growing strength in advanced research and doctoral training.

In her remarks, the Vice Chancellor Rev. Canon Prof. Olivia Nasakka Banja highlighted key milestones achieved over the past year, including the accreditation of new programmes such as the Bachelor of Laws, and the upcoming launch of the Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering scheduled for August 2026.

“The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme is currently undergoing accreditation, signaling a major step toward strengthening health sciences education at the University,” she added.

In line with national higher education reforms, Ndejje University is also aligning its academic programmes with the Competence-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework, ensuring graduates remain competitive in an evolving global landscape.

The University continues to strengthen its research and innovation agenda, with notable participation in the 16th Uganda Higher Education Exhibition, where it showcased innovations that attracted attention from researchers, partners, and assessors.

Strategic partnerships with international and local institutions are enhancing teaching, research, and practical training. These collaborations are also strengthening linkages with industry, improving students’ hands-on experience and employability.

Construction of the University Chapel and Multipurpose Hall, which commenced in January 2026, marks a significant step in strengthening the University’s spiritual and community life.

Ndejje University also continues to excel beyond the classroom, having emerged overall winners of the 2025 Association of Uganda University Sports competitions, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates.

The Chancellor, Bishop Hannington Mutebi commended the University’s steady growth and resilience, attributing its achievements to strong governance, teamwork, and faith.

“Year after year, we continue to witness positive developments. These achievements are a testament to partnership, teamwork, and God’s grace,” he said.

The Chancellor highlighted ongoing institutional transformation and commitment to quality education:

“We have made significant progress in re-engineering our systems and expanding academic offerings, while strengthening research and innovation to remain relevant in a changing global environment.”

The Chief Guest, the Rt Reverend Enos Kitto Kagodo, praised the University’s consistency and forward-looking approach:

“Ndejje University continues to stand strong, firmly anchored on its Christian foundation. The innovations emerging, particularly in engineering, have the potential to provide practical solutions to real-life challenges.”

The ceremony was held under the theme: “Be Saved from This Crooked Generation” (Acts 2:40)”, with leaders urging graduates to uphold integrity, moral courage, and ethical leadership.

“As you step into the next phase of life, uphold integrity, serve with humility, and lead with courage. Let your education be a tool not only for personal advancement but also for transforming society,” the Chief Guest charged.

Graduates were encouraged to remain grounded in values, embrace innovation, and contribute meaningfully to national and global development

With a new Strategic Plan in development, Ndejje University is positioning itself to strengthen its global competitiveness while remaining rooted in its mission of providing Christ-centered, holistic education.

Ndejje University is a chartered private university in Uganda, committed to providing quality education grounded in Christian values. The University offers a wide range of academic programmes and is dedicated to research, innovation, and the holistic development of its students.
