Uganda’s coffee exporters have closed deals worth upto $3million at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai. The coffee exporters at the event, which started on Wednesday 5th November and ended last night, included Meg Rai Coffee, Kwezi coffee, Inspire Africa and Elgon Coffee. The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Ltd, in partnership with the Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK), has celebrated the graduation of 141 students from the EACOP Academy. The graduates were trained in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Instrumentation, Leadership, and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) disciplines – marking a significant milestone in EACOP’s commitment to building local capacity and advancing national content development in Uganda and Tanzania. Launched in August 2024, the EACOP Academy is a flagship vocational training programme designed to equip young people with the technical and professional skills needed to support midstream oil and gas operations.
