‘’ The fact that these young people have chosen to join rotaract means that they are committed to supporting communities. Our main theme is to provide service above self , therefore we need to use the little we have to support others that are less fortunate than we are ‘’, said Dr Baguma.

He added that chartering of a club is a very important occasion because it gives hope for providing more services to the people in communities , and it adds the numbers to the existing rotaractors.

Others present were Alebar Kayonza – District Rotaract Representative (DRR) and Yusuf Kigoye – Assistant Governor (AG) for RC. Kansanga.

Action President of the mother Rotary Club Kansanga, Mr. Charles Mukose (In his remarks he appreciated the new inducted rotaract club leaders on accepting to take on leadership roles but also promised to give all necessary support as a mother club. The Chief Guest Rtn Bildard Baguma committed 10% pledge support towards the Rotaractors 32m project in Western Uganda.

On her side , Kirunda said chartering of Kansanga rotaract club marks a new chapter revealed that one of their objectives include  taking action in entrepreneurship programs to empower young people , innovative skills to fight unemployment among other initiatives.

‘’Am also looking at increasing our memberships because we need more hands to actualize these projects including supporting global projects. We need to increase our growth and ensure that we create an impact’’, added Kirunda.

Kirunda praised the mother club’s culture of humility, passion, and teamwork. “We’ve reached these milestones because of excellent leadership and a shared commitment to service,” she said.

Kirunda pledged to lead with purpose, describing her term as “a year of less words but more action.” She emphasized continuity, collaboration, and the power of service to uplift communities.

Kirunda’s leadership marks a new era of unity and action, building on the strong foundation laid by the mother club.

Mr Maganda Evans Tabingwa, the acting secretary at Rotary club Kansanga said the event also acts to induct rotaractors of Kansanga club .

‘’ Majority of them are university students and the whole essence is trying to groom those that will come into our shoes. It’s very important to groom those leaders we want to see. With the main objective of giving back to humanity, we are ensuring that we groom them to the objectives of the rotary’’, said Tabingwa at the colorful event attended by members from various clubs.

As the club enters this exciting phase, its members remain focused on sustaining growth, deepening impact, and proving that the Rotaract renaissance is not just a moment—but a movement.
