Stanbic Bank has donated an assortment of medical equipment worth UGX 65 million to Kawempe National Referral Hospital (KNRH) to enhance maternal healthcare services and improve the well-being of mothers and infants. For the last four years, the bank has designated October as the L.O.V.E. Month, during which it celebrates its customers and engages in activities that give back to the community. Security has been beefed up along the Fort Portal–Bundibugyo road following coordinated attacks by unknown assailants. UPDF troops and police are patrolling, particularly around Ibonde Trading Center in Fort Portal City North Division, with all vehicles from Bundibugyo and Ntoroko being searched. The early Saturday raids left at least ten suspected attackers dead across Fort Portal, Kasese, and Bundibugyo. In Fort Portal, six attackers were killed in Ibonde and Karago Wards. Over 1,000 women entrepreneurs across eight African countries, including Uganda, are set to benefit from the Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (IYBA–WE4A) programme — a grant initiative designed to boost women-led green businesses and accelerate sustainable growth on the continent. Ugandan tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia and his wife, Jyotsna, have established a 100-award scholarship program at Victoria University, Kampala, in honour of their late son, Rajiv.
