The Christmas Cantata kicks off on 17th December 2025 with the City’s Night Carols and the lighting of the tallest Christmas tree in Uganda, followed by the Son of God Production from 19th to 22nd December 2025. The church is committed to making this season not only festive but also safe and wellorganised for all participants.

Today, during the press briefing, Watoto Church emphasised that the safety, comfort, and convenience of all attendees are their top priority. This year, the events will be held at Old Kampala Senior Secondary School, a venue chosen for its space and accessibility.

To support this effort, Watoto Church has partnered with key stakeholders that will help ensure smooth security, traffic flow and transportation throughout the entire period of the Christmas Cantata.

Speaking during the briefing, Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo, Senior Pastor and Team Leader at Watoto Church Ministries, said, “We desire to create a safe and joyful experience for every person who attends this year’s Cantata. With strong support from the Uganda Police and other city authorities, we are confident that everyone will enjoy attending Christmas Cantata with peace and ease.”

Andy Kristian Agaba the Chief Executive Officer Karis Medical during his speech.

The Uganda Police welcomed the partnership and reassured the public of their readiness.

Their support will include patrol teams, traffic officers, crowdcontrol personnel, and emergency response units.

Luke Oweyesigyire, Public Relations Officer, Kampala Metropolitan Police Area, “We are committed to working with Watoto Church to ensure that all events are secure and peaceful. Our teams will be on the ground throughout the Cantata to provide safety, guide traffic and support the public wherever needed.” To further enhance convenient movements, Watoto Church has also partnered with SafeBoda, one of Uganda’s leading mobility companies. SafeBoda will play a key role in helping people move safely and affordably to and from the venue during the Cantata. In addition, SafeBoda will offer a special discount to all riders traveling to and from Old Kampala Senior Secondary School between 17th to 22nd December.

Mukooli Calvin Brand, Events and Activations at SafeBoda shared, “We are excited to support this year’s Christmas Cantata by providing safe, reliable, and discounted rides for everyone. We believe this partnership will make it easier for people to enjoy the celebrations without worrying about transport.”

Karis Medical has also joined the effort to provide first aid and other medicalrelated services. Representing the establishment, Andy Kristian Agaba shared: “We’re providing UGX 50,000,000 in-kind services for the 5-day event. In addition to having our medical staff on site daily for anthropometry, blood pressure checks, and general first aid, our doctors will be available to answer any health-related questions.

Moreover, during the event, we would like to provide opportunities for families, individuals and small business owners to sign up for steeply discounted healthcare savings plans. Additionally, we will provide wellness vouchers that can be won as giveaways. With these preparations in place, Watoto Church has assured the public that the 2025 Christmas Cantata will be a memorable, safe, and family-friendly celebration.

As the festive season approaches, thousands are expected to gather for music, worship, and community joy- making this year’s Cantata one of the biggest Christmas experiences in Uganda. For 41 years, Watoto Church has been serving communities through spiritual growth and practical support.
