    HR Professionals Urged to Uphold Integrity, mediation, and growth at the Annual HR Conference 2025

    Ronald Bbosa, the President of the Human Resource Managers’ Association of Uganda (HRMAU) on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 officially opened the Annual HR Conference 2025, celebrating teamwork and excellence at Serena Hotel Kampala .

    Speaking during the opening , Bbosa set the tone for a conference grounded in appreciation, collaboration and excellence in HR practice as he joined thought leaders to dissect cross-sector collaboration and how HR can bridge industries, break silos, and create interconnected systems for sustainable growth.

    Ms. Grace Nzula, CEO, Atarah Solutions said it’s time for a mindset shift building workplaces that go beyond discipline and focus on coaching, mediation, and growth.

    HR Processionals Urged to Uphold Integrity, mediation, and growth at Annual HR Conference 2025

    ‘’Rules are important, they balance us all. We must shift from just following rules to responding to a changing world with intention and adaptability’’, said Nzula.

    Ms, Xenia Wachira, Chief Executive Officer at Brighter Monday Uganda tipped participants about embracing agility as the ability to continuously learn, adapt, and reinvent yourself. She said It bridges their potential, organizational performance, enabling them to thrive across industries, roles, and work models.

    Mr. Alvin Katto from African Management institute (AMI) said they take organizations from version 1 to version 2 through practice-based learning. He said their focus on practical tools drives growth, career development, and long-term impact. –

    Paul Rugambwa, the Head of Human Resources, at Infectious Disease Institute reminded participants that leadership starts with composure and resilience.

    ‘’As HR leaders, we must model calmness and adaptability under pressure. COVID-19 laid bare the fragility of our systems—but it also highlighted our capacity to adapt, innovate, and endure. It was a defining moment for HR and leadership across all sectors’’, said  Rugambwa.

    In her remarks , Mrs. Joanita Mukasa Menya emphasized; “Know your employees. Understand the vision and what you need to bring it to life. HR are coaches and strategy catalysts”, she noted adding that people are the most important assets of a business next to the brand.

    ‘’I’ve seen what people can do – they can make or break a brand’’, noted Joanita.
