    Kiboko Mabati, a brand of MM Integrated Steel Mills Uganda Ltd , one of the leading manufacturers of steel and roofing materials in Uganda, has unveiled its Online Order platform, a cutting-edge software solution tailored specifically for the sheet industry.

    Dubbed ‘ Kiboko Fundi’, the innovative platform is designed to enhance the user experience by offering an intuitive, interactive interface that allows customers to visualize and modify parts, access a streamlined ordering system, and improve efficiency across design, production, and sales processes.

    Speaking to journalists at the Kiboko Mabati booth during the closure the Uganda International Trade Fair 2025 on October  Sunday 12 at UMA Show Grounds Lugogo , Kampala, Hassan Latif , the marketing executive of MM Integrated Steel Mills Uganda Ltd said this is the first artificial intelligence in thye roofing industry .

    ‘’With this platform you can ask Kiboko Fundi how many irons I need for a house and it will tell you exactly the accessories you need for your house. We also offer a five year warrant and we are the first company to do this. Come to Kiboko and you have the best’’, Hassan rallied customers.

    According to officials at MMI, this platform will provide a user-friendly experience for placing orders and designing metal roofing parts 24/7. Customers can now visualize their designs in real time , create custom trims, and choose from a variety of colors, all while ensuring accurate dimensions and reducing the need for back-and-forth communication with customer service.

    Kiboko Fundi also offers a range of features designed to simplify and optimize the ordering and design process.

    ‘’Customers can place orders around the clock without the need for handwritten requests or back-and-forth emails with customer service representatives. Kiboko Fundi also offers the option to browse and select materials, and real-time design features allowing for customization of trims and colors’’, added officials.

    The software also provides cost and material optimization, streamlining the design process and ensuring maximum efficiency. Additionally, the platform includes an order tracking feature, providing customers with complete visibility into their order status throughout the entire process.

    Kiboko Mabati is a brand of roofing sheets produced in Uganda by MM Integrated Steel Mills Uganda. In August 2025, MMI Steels launched a campaign for “no asbestos” Kiboko mabati to raise awareness about the health risks of asbestos exposure.

    The company emphasized its new triple-coated, asbestos-free iron sheets as an affordable and safe option for Ugandans.Kiboko produces different types of iron sheets, including: Galvanized iron sheets,Pre-painted sheets and coils and Profiled pre-painted sheets and coils in various designs (e.g., Mmax Tile, Mmax Eco).
