The Honorary Consul of Uganda to the Republic of Lebanon, H.E Mohammad Khoder Hussein has held discussions with Lebanon’s Army Commander, General Rodolph Haykal and Edgard Lawandos, the Director of the State Security Department in Beirut, Lebanon.
Khoder, a renowned businessman in East Africa and diplomat, says the discussions were aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and enhancing joint security initiatives between the two nations and enhancing investment opportunities.
‘’It’s my pleasure to meet commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces General Rodolphe Haikal and conveyed greetings from Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the people of uganda we also discussed how can we strengthen 0ur Relationship’’, said Khoder on his X page formerly twitter.
He added that the talks centered on how they can strengthen the Relationship between Uganda and Lebanon.
On their side, the Lebanese security officials said that the countries would exchange views on international and regional issues as the two countries hope to deepen their diplomatic ties.

Uganda and Lebanon established diplomatic ties, with Lebanon maintaining an embassy in Kampala to foster relations, provide consular services, and promote trade and cultural exchange. Both countries have a recognized diplomatic presence and a commitment to bilateral relations.
Lebanon’s major exports to Africa include food and beverages, chemicals, electrical equipment, metals, and stone/glass products. They also export machinery, wood products, and textiles and clothing while Uganda’s key exports to other countries include agricultural products like coffee, tea, cocoa beans, and sugar, as well as fish and fish products, gold, and petroleum products.
