The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Gen. Jeje Odongo Abubakhar has commended H.E Mohammad Khoder Hussein, the Honorary Consul of Uganda to the Republic of Lebanon and renowned tycoon for transforming Uganda’s economy through establishment of Staunch Machinery, a regional leader in Manufacturing and distribution of all sorts of machines and equipment.
Staunch Machinery is a beacon of technological prowess, Reliability, and impeccable engineering, where every machine crafted reflects the promise to build futures through integrity and innovation.
‘’It was my pleasure to receive Hon Jeje Odongo, minister of foreign Affairs, at our factory in Namanve Kampala to check the progress of the factory’s staunch machinery . This is the first factory in Uganda and East Africa to manufacture all types of Agriculture and construction equipment, and power generators’’, said tycoon Khoder.

The multi-billion state of the art Machinery manufacturing Company serves not only Uganda but the whole African continent and is both a manufacturing facility and distribution warehouse of all Machinery and Equipment Company including power generators, construction, Workshop Tools, Machines & Accessories and garage equipment made from Uganda at Namanve industrial park.
To promote Dairy production and value addition, the company also manufactures Dairy equipment like milk coolers, Maize mills, and block machines among others.
The latest figures estimate annual milk production at almost 4 billion litres as of 2023 with the government targeting 20 billion litres. The value of marketed milk stood at USH 2.24 trillion in 2020 but increased to USH 2.478 trillion in 2021.With companies like staunch machinery, value addition will increase Uganda’s income from dairy products.
The official was excited by the development, and said such factories help Uganda to stop importing goods that can now be produced locally and pointed out that exports will greatly grow as a result of the construction of industries. The formation of this factory promotes growth and economic development in the nation.
H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently has directed all ministries, departments and agencies (MDA’s) of government to first procure locally manufactured goods and services before opting to foreign goods.

He said billions of shillings spent on buying foreign goods and services must be channeled to Ugandan manufacturers to grow the country. He said the government would work with the factories so that the products that are made locally get to market.
Staunch Machinery Uganda employs thousands of people both directly and indirectly, and export machinery and equipment to several countries on the African continent.
Lebanon and Uganda established diplomatic relations on 5 March 2019 and both countries enjoy cordial bilateral relations. The high commission’s diplomatic mission’s mandate is to forge stronger and closer ties between the two countries. Pursuing bilateral and multilateral cooperation in diverse sectors, including culture, defense, tourism, trade and investments, science and technology, security, and other fields while safeguarding mutual benefits, is vital for their relations. The countries are cooperating to resolve global issues like climate change. Uganda is the most important source market for tourism in Lebanon.

The envoy has over the years habitually through all his business and personal platform appealed to counterparts in Lebanon to not only come and Visit ,but also invest in Uganda which has a potential greater market of the East African Community.
