The Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development (MLHUD) has honored NR Group of Companies International Limited, a leading firm involved in general supplies, wholesale, and retail of EMTOP products , Spiro Motorcycles among other equipment.
NR Group was recognized during the closure of the first edition of the Uganda Real Estate & Housing Expo (UREHE) 2025, a landmark event for the Ugandan real estate and housing sector, which happened from September 26-28, 2025, at the Kati Kati Grounds, Lugogo, Kampala.

NR Group of Companies International Limited offers a wide range of EMTOP products, including power tools, hand tools, cordless tools, garden tools, and accessories for construction and decoration. Their product lines feature items like angle grinders, circular saws, cordless drills, tile cutters, and tools within the EMTOP 20V lithium-ion battery platform among others.
Handing over the certificate of recognition to NR Group Of Companies International Limited, Mr. Dave Khayangayanga the Acting Director Housing Directorate at the Ministry of lands commended the company selling quality and affordable machines which has boosted businesses and projects in Uganda.
Organized by the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in partnership with Douglas Events Ltd together with other key organizations, the expo’s theme was “Resilient by Design, Affordable by Intent: Shaping the Future of Real Estate”.
The Expo brought together government leaders, investors, developers, and innovators to explore investment opportunities, discuss market trends, and showcase sustainable building practices, financial solutions, and new technologies shaping the future of Uganda’s real estate. The Uganda Real Estate & Housing Expo 2025 served as a critical platform to unlock real estate potential and ensure a sustainable, inclusive future for all citizens, urging everyone not to miss it
Douglas Mukwaya, CEO of Douglas Events Ltd during the closure said that the event was a groundbreaking initiative that will transform how we approach housing and urban development in Uganda.
Some of the partners from government agencies , included the Uganda Land Commission and the National Housing and Construction Company; professional bodies such as the Uganda Society of Architects, the Surveyors Registration Board, and UNABSEC and NGO partners, notably Habitat for Humanity Uganda among others.
Other private sector partners, whose investments and innovation continue to drive growth in Uganda’s real estate sector included; Centum Real Estate, developers of Pearl Marina and Mirembe Villas; Footsteps Furniture; KCB Bank; Housing Finance Bank; Liquid Intelligent Technologies; Universal Multipurpose Enterprises; Fakhruddin Properties; Pool Doctors (U) Ltd; Bulwadda Real Estates; Regal Paints; and MTN Uganda.
Expo served as Uganda’s premier real estate platform, and brought together over 300 exhibitors and more than 5,000 attendees from across the East African region. It created a space where policy makers, developers, investors, technology innovators, and communities can collaborate on sustainable solutions.

The high cost of construction materials, reliance on imported inputs, and limited access to green and innovative financing instruments continue to constrain inclusive growth—particularly within the lower-income housing segments.
