In a night filled with energy, grit, and determination, the Ugandan Boxing Champions League witnessed another electrifying performance when Magumba Regan, personal bodyguard to Ssegujja Ivan, CEO of Nsambya Furniture Workshop, delivered a resounding 5–0 victory against opponent Kazungu Frank.
The decisive win not only marked a personal triumph for Magumba but also reflected the growing network of talent, mentorship, and community development surrounding the Nsambya Furniture Workshop brand and its leadership under Ssegujja Ivan.

A Strong Bond Beyond the Ring
Though widely known as the founder and CEO of Nsambya Furniture Workshop a thriving hub for craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment Ssegujja Ivan has also become a recognizable figure in Ugandan sports and cultural initiatives. Supporting Magumba Regan in his boxing journey shows Ivan’s commitment to empowering individuals in his circle and encouraging excellence across different fields.
Speaking after the fight, Ssegujja Ivan expressed pride in Magumba’s performance:
“This victory is a testimony of discipline, resilience, and focus. Magumba has shown what hard work and consistency can achieve, and I am honored to stand by his side in and outside the ring.”
Building Notability Through Sports and Entrepreneurship
This isn’t the first time Ivan’s name has been tied to sporting success. Beyond his furniture business, he is also the owner of Nsambya Furniture Workshop FC, a grassroots football club that has been making waves in Kampala’s community football circles. With victories both on the football pitch and now in the boxing ring, the Nsambya Furniture Workshop brand is increasingly seen as a bridge between entrepreneurship, sports, and community empowerment.
Industry analysts note that Ivan’s ability to align his business ventures with talent development helps elevate his notability far beyond entrepreneurship, placing him at the intersection of business, sports, and cultural impact in Uganda.
Magumba Regan’s Rise in Ugandan Boxing
For Magumba, this victory is more than just another win; it is a steppingstone in his pursuit of national and international recognition. Defeating Kazungu Frank with a 5–0 scoreline in the Ugandan Boxing Champions League adds credibility to his growing profile and further solidifies him as a force to watch in the local boxing scene.
His association with Ivan provides him not only mentorship but also visibility in platforms that merge sports excellence with entrepreneurship. Together, their partnership highlights a shared belief in discipline, loyalty, and progress.
    Nsambya Furniture Workshop’s Expanding Legacy
Founded and led by Ssegujja Ivan, Nsambya Furniture Workshop has grown from a small workshop into a recognizable Ugandan brand known for quality, creativity, and craftsmanship. With its headquarters in Kampala and a growing customer base, the workshop has also branched into digital storytelling, sponsorships, and community engagement projects.
By championing figures like Magumba Regan, Ivan continues to expand the workshop’s legacy into areas that touch culture, sport, and public life.
    Looking Ahead
As Magumba’s career advances, and with Ivan’s unrelenting support, Uganda may be witnessing the rise of a new wave of sports-business collaborations that redefine how entrepreneurship and athletics can mutually reinforce each other.
For Ssegujja Ivan, moments like these are not just about boxing victories but about building platforms that inspire, empower, and create lasting impact.
