Entebbe, Uganda | SEMPTEMBER 2025 — Entebbe International Airport (EIA) registered significant growth in both passenger and cargo traffic in August 2025, marking one of its busiest months on record, according to data released by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA).
In August 2025, Entebbe International Airport facilitated 116,507 arrivals and 126,582 departures, a total of 243,089 international passengers, which is an average of 7,841 arrivals and departures per day.
The August 2025 international traffic is higher than the previous record set in July 2025. Sports tourism, and conferences contributed to the higher figures, among others.
In relation to cargo, imports were 2,010 metric tones and exports were 3,247 metric tones, a total of 5,257 metric tones in August 2025. Fresh produce continues to be one of the leading exports.
