In the spirit of compassion, empathy, and service that defines the holy month of Ramadan, Chil Femtech Center proudly announces a transformative initiative to extend its advanced telemedicine services to juvenile correctional facilities throughout East Africa.

This groundbreaking program, formulated out of a strategic partnership, addresses a critical and often overlooked gap in regional healthcare by providing consistent, high-quality access to specialized pediatric care for children in correctional settings, one of the most vulnerable and underserved populations.

A generous, Muslim-friendly partner nation has fully funded the project as a sincere act of charity (Sadaqah) during Ramadan, covering all service fees, technical infrastructure, and operational costs for the entire three-year duration. Honoring the partner’s request for anonymity and their intention to give solely for the sake of Allah, Chil Femtech Center respects their wish to remain unnamed while expressing profound gratitude for this selfless contribution.

While the launch aligns with the sacred month of Ramadan, the commitment extends far beyond, delivering sustainable, life-enhancing medical support through 2029.

By harnessing Chil Femtech Center’s secure, high-definition remote consultation platforms, the initiative eliminates the logistical, security, and safety challenges associated with transporting incarcerated youth to external hospitals, ensuring timely, effective care in a dignified and protected environment.

“In this blessed month of Ramadan, we are deeply honored to launch a partnership that truly embodies the values of empathy, equity, and service to humanity,” said Shamim Nabuuma Kaliisa, Founder and Executive Director of Chil Femtech Center.

“Every child deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their circumstances or location. Thanks to our anonymous partner’s generous and selfless support, we can now bring expert pediatric care directly to these young people for the next three years, making a lasting difference in their lives.”

    Key Pillars of the Initiative:

    • The Spirit of Giving — Fully pre-funded by our anonymous partner as an act of Ramadan charity, ensuring no cost barriers to implementation or sustained delivery over three years.
    • Sustainable Long-Term Impact — A multi-year commitment providing stable, uninterrupted pediatric care well beyond the holy month.
    • Specialized Pediatric Access — Direct, secure video consultations with expert pediatricians for routine check-ups, acute care, and specialized treatments.
    • Enhanced Safety and Efficiency — Telemedicine minimizes high-risk physical transfers, protecting the well-being of juveniles, staff, and healthcare providers alike.
    • Regional Expansion — Initial rollout in priority juvenile facilities across East Africa, with plans to scale this compassionate model to additional centers in the coming years.

This initiative represents a meaningful expansion of Chil Femtech Center’s broader mission to leverage innovative technology—including AI-guided telemedicine—to democratize healthcare access, particularly for marginalized communities.
