Controversial singer Alien Skin has been arrested after nearly a week of playing hide and seek wit police following the death of musician Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer.
Authorities allege the singer orchestrated a violent attack after Namuwaya left their Fangone Forest music group, raising serious concerns about safety and accountability in Uganda’s music scene.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed that Alien Skin, who was born Patrick Mulwana, was taken into custody today at Katwe Police Station, where his statement is being recorded.
Police allege that on September 20, 2025, Namuwaya was forcibly removed from his Ndeeba residence by a known associate of Fangone Forest, identified as Musomali, acting on instructions from Alien Skin.
The victim was reportedly punished for leaving the music group without permission.
Namuwaya was later found in Mpomba Zone and rushed to Mulago Hospital by a good Samaritan, but he succumbed to his injuries on September 22.
SSP Onyango said, “The suspects, including Alien Skin, orchestrated a violent attack on the victim. This is a serious matter, and we are determined to bring all involved to justice.”
Alien Skin, born Patrick Mulwana, has been involved in numerous public controversies. In December 2024, he was remanded to Luzira Prison over robbery charges after a video emerged showing his gang assaulting security and medical staff at Nsambya Hospital.
He was accused of stealing an iPhone 15 Pro, Shs480,000, and a wallet containing a national ID, though he denied the allegations.
“Locking Alien up in prison won’t tackle the real problems faced by kids from the ghetto,” Pallaso said. However, tensions between the two musicians escalated into violent confrontations, with Pallaso allegedly leading a raid on Alien Skin’s home in Makindye in January 2025.
Alien Skin has also been linked to political confrontations. In December 2024, he was accused of mobilizing gangs to attack National Unity Platform supporters at Makerere Kavule headquarters.
