South African sensation, Tyla stole the spotlight at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, clinching the Best Afrobeats award for her smash hit “Push 2 Start”. The ceremony, held on Sunday, September 7, at the UBS Arena in New York, also saw Lady Gaga dominate the night with four awards—the highest of the evening, followed by Ariana Grande, Video of the Year winner, and Sabrina Carpenter with 3 Wins each.
For those who missed the live broadcast, the MTV VMAs will have repeat broadcasts on September 9, 11, and 14 at 16:30, 21:00, 19:30 WAT on DStv Channel 322/GOtv Channel 145, respectively.
