The Busoga Kingdom has joyfully announced the birth of twin sons to His Majesty Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV and Her Royal Highness Queen Jovia Mutesi. The princes, William Ethan Nadiope and Arnold Eli Nadiope, were born on August 27, 2025, ushering in a new chapter for the royal family.

Both newborns, along with their remarkable mother, are in high spirits and excellent health. The royal couple’s journey together began with their historic wedding on November 18, 2023, at Christ’s Cathedral in Bugembe, Jinja City. The event, the first official royal wedding in Busoga since 1956, attracted thousands of guests, including dignitaries, traditional leaders, and citizens from across Uganda. During the occasion, Queen Jovia Mutesi—formally known as the Inhebantu—was introduced to the nation, marking a defining moment in the cultural and social life of the kingdom.
Since his enthronement in 2014 as the 11th Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV has championed the revival of cultural traditions and promoted unity within the kingdom. The arrival of the twin princes is seen as a blessing not only for the royal household but also for the Basoga people, who view the monarchy as a pillar of identity and pride.
