The Busoga Kingdom Minister of Tourism, Owek Hellen Namutamba, and the key Mobiliser of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party Hellen Kayonga have urged Ugandans to continue supporting President Yoweri Museveni for sustained progress.
Speaking during a thanks giving ceremony at Fresh Fire Deliverance Ministries located in the Nabulagala area, Bulange in Rubaga Division , Kampala , Namutmaba said expressed gratitude to President Museveni and the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) government for delivering peace, stability, and development to the country.
“We are going to vote for him again because of the enormous achievements ushered in by the NRM government, especially peace and stability.”
Namutamba highlighted ruling party achievements including establishing peace and stability, expanding education through programs like UPE, and developing infrastructure like roads and electricity. Other successes which Namutamba said should be the reason for voting back President Museveni include economic growth, improved healthcare access and life expectancy, industrial growth, and poverty reduction.
Namutamba also donated Shs 2million to various choir groups in the church , encouraging the youth to remain focused and avoid being used by selfish political groups.
On her side Kayonga who was the chief guest stated that Ugandans should entrust NRM with another mandate in the 2026 general elections because the party’s longstanding achievements clearly demonstrate its impact on the country’s development.
Kayonga, who also donated funds to the church and chairs for both children and adults , reminded the crowd that NRM’s first and most important achievement is restoring national peace and security after decades of turmoil that saw leaders exiled, communities destabilized, and citizens killed.
She promised to lobby for the President’s support for the Construction of Fresh Fire Deliverance Ministries church , and restoration of the Church Television onair , Fresh TV.
This was after the lead Pastor Twaha Muzira requested for the President’s intervention into the matter.
Muzira asked his followers to vote for President Museveni in the forthcoming 2026 general election.
“Our target is to ensure that President Museveni gets the highest percentage in the whole country,” he said.
“We must intensify our mobilization efforts to ensure the President receives even more support than he did in the last elections. The 2026 vote must set a new benchmark.”
It should be remembered that Namutamba has been traversing the country for mobilization and urged NRM flag bearers and grassroots mobilisers to remain fully committed and ensure no voter is left unengaged.
Namutamba, who recently mobilized in Eastern Uganda starting with Busoga, has always told citizens that delivering 100% for President Museveni should be a commitment to protect the gains and strengthen Uganda’s future.
