PepsiCo, with its bottling partner Crown Beverages Limited, has launched Evervess Malt Pineapple, a new addition to its refreshment portfolio and the first-ever malt flavoured beverage under the global Evervess brand.

The launch marks a major milestone for both PepsiCo and Crown Beverages, as Evervess – known worldwide for its premium mixers and sparkling beverages – steps into the malt flavoured beverage category for the first time, choosing Uganda as the launchpad for this global innovation.

Evervess Malt Pineapple introduces Ugandan consumers to a distinctive blend of smooth malt flavoured richness and tropical pineapple sweetness, delivering 100% taste with zero alcohol.

An Apple flavour variant is expected to follow soon. Positioned as a premium, non-alcoholic carbonated malt flavoured drink, Evervess Malt is crafted to elevate both refreshment and indulgence, the perfect companion for social occasions and everyday celebrations.

The launch campaign invites consumers to “Start Something Malty” and “Make Every Moment Golden”, celebrating the drink’s vibrant, sophisticated, and uplifting character.

‘’Evervess Malt is about celebrating life’s golden moments, those simple, shared experiences that bring people together. This new product represents a bold step for Crown Beverages as we continue to diversify our portfolio and meet the evolving tastes of Ugandan consumers,” said Sandra Againe, Brand and Communications Manager – Crown Beverages.

Mr. Rogers Anguzu – Commercial Manager, Crown Beverages Limited, added: “With Evervess Malt, we’re expanding into the fast-growing malt segment, giving Ugandans a new reason to celebrate their everyday wins. It’s 100% taste, zero alcohol designed for people who seek style, sociability, and refreshment without compromise.”

Marius Vorster, Marketing Director – Africa Franchise, PepsiCo, said, “We’re incredibly proud to see Evervess Malt Pineapple come to life in Uganda – a market whose creativity, energy, and consumer dynamism continue to inspire our global innovation pipeline. This launch marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the Evervess brand, and it reinforces PepsiCo’s commitment to developing locally relevant, globally resonant products across Africa.”

The new creation was unveiled in Kampala through a “Golden Hour Takeover” event at Euphoria, Kisementi, bringing together media, influencers, staff, and trade partners for an evening of music, art, and refreshment.

Guests experienced the first sip of the new Evervess Malt Pineapple as the sun set over Kampala – symbolizing a golden beginning for the brand’s next chapter. Evervess Malt Pineapple is now available in 330ml PET bottles at a recommended retail price of UGX 1000, across supermarkets, dukas, restaurants, and bars countrywide. With its golden crown of quality, refreshing malt taste, and distinctive pineapple twist, Evervess Malt Pineapple stands as a proud symbol of innovation and confidence – proving once again that great things start in Africa.
